This website is to provide links to information, advocacy resources and legal information for the families, friends, advocates and victims of those who have been subjected to Elder Abuse / Dependent Adult Abuse by Public Guardians, Court Appointed Conservators within the State of California, and to provide a platform for their voices to be heard, and to build a network of advocates, victims, their friends and families to support, protect, help and defend one another.
From my own personal experience trying to defend a loved one who suffered greatly under the "care" of conservators with the Santa Clara County Public Guardian's Office,  I had originally believed that our experience was unique and isolated to Santa Clara County. Then after doing much research, I had discovered that problems such as these are much more wide-spread and common than I had previously believed.
It appears to be a common tactic among many abusive conservators / public guardians to try to isolate their victims from their friends and family, and to even shift the blame on the friends and family of the abused person to alienate the victim from being able to get assistance from others, and to damage and destroy the credibility of the friends and family who attempt to help the victim, so that the conservator / public guardian may continue their abusive exploits under the guise of "protecting / defending" the victim.
  

Though I have learned much from my research into this subject, and from my correspondences with others in California and other states who have had similar horrifying experiences with Conservators / Public Guardians, the vast majority of what I have learned is from my own experiences vigorously defending and protecting someone who I love deeply from abuses inflicted by court appointed conservators / public guardians with the Santa Clara County Public Guardians Office currently located on Junction Avenue in San Jose, California.
We filed our first "Major Complaint" against members of the Santa Clara County Public Guardians office in May of 2008 against Santa Clara County Deputy Public Guardian's: Rondi Opheim, and Kanta Jindal. This case was assigned to detective Dennis Brookins of the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office located at 70 West Hedding Street in San Jose.
I believe that DA Detective Dennis Brookins Intentionally sabotaged the "investigation" & deprived us of due process due to the fact that he not only failed to interview us, or to research our side of the story, he actually "refused our testimony" and automatically sided with the Santa Clara County Public Guardian's Office and accepted their distorted side of the story, even though the public guardian's side of the story was was full of holes, loaded with inconsistencies, contradictions, and lacked  basis in reality.
It appears that Detective Brookins made no effort into verifying whether our testimony was true, or whether the Public Guardian's testimony was false, but rather that he automatically sided with the Public Guardian's Office ( As the Public Guardian's Office & District Attorney's Office are both divisions of Santa Clara County Government. )
I believe that Detective Dennis Brookins conducted NO INVESTIGATION WHATSOEVER,  and closed the "investigation file"  containing a ridiculous, distorted and subverted version of the truth that was  convenient on paper.

In order to address and shed light on what I believe to be deep corruption in the Santa Clara County Public Guardian's office and the Santa Clara County DA, I launched the website: www.Santa-Clara-County.Public-Guardian-Abuse.net to keep attention focused on this problem. ( Locally in Santa Clara County, California. )  to hinder the "Powers that be" in Santa Clara County from pretending / denying that these abuses by conservators with the Santa Clara County Public Guardian's office did not / does not occur, and to provide a "corridor"  for other victims of the Santa Clara County Public Guardians Office, and the victims friends, family and loved ones to advance, be heard, validated and rescued!
Shortly after launching the Santa Clara County Website,  I began receiving email's from others who had experienced similar experiences, though not relating to Santa Clara County, but instead San Mateo County,  San Diego County, and a phone call about Public Guardian Abuse in  Santa Barbara County.  This has helped to rejuvenate my hope for justice, because by comparing their stories side by side with what we have experienced in Santa Clara County,  they achieve a significant degree of collective credibility. and sound much less like some sort of fabricated, far-fetched, delusional conspiracy theory as many Public Guardian's Offices, District Attorney's Offices, Probate Court Investigators and others would  prefer for it to appear.

Without abandoning the Local Santa Clara County Project, ( Which I consider not to be my project, but rather facilitated by  me yet belonging  and dedicated to any & all victims of the Santa Clara County Public Guardians Office, and to their pursuit of hope and justice ) I have instead decided to expand this project to include Public Guardian / Conservator Abuse throughout the entire State of California,  with current leverage based in Santa Clara, San Mateo, San Diego, and Santa Barbara Counties by addressing these problems to County Officials in all four counties and State Senators, Assembly Members, and Congress Representatives over each of the four counties,  California Attorney General's Office, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, The US Dept. of  Health and Human Services, Advocacy Groups, News Media, and International Human Rights Organizations.
As soon as I begin to hear from other victims in other California Counties, those counties will immediately become leverage points in this movement, and the California State Senators,  Assembly Members, Congress Members, etc. of each "newly included" California County will be looped into correspondence, and "plugged in to this circuit"

I have little doubt that there are additional victims in Santa Clara County, quite possibly several dozen of them. I am hoping to hear from them and their families, to leverage their painful and powerful testimonies,  to help to recover the justice that was deprived and stolen from them by this twisted, deranged and corrupt system, to restore peace, harmony,  hope and stability to the lives of the victims, their families, their loved ones, and supporters!  I believe that many of these people in Santa Clara County have probably already come forward and tried to seek help and assistance only to have their efforts deliberately sabotaged, and their hope for fair treatment and justice snuffed out like a candle by Detective Dennis Brookins of the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office in a viscous, ruthless, and treacherous act of betrayal!

If yourself, a family member or anyone you know has been abused by a court appointed Conservator / Public Guardian anywhere in the State of California, or if you suspect any such abuse, I urge you to PLEASE come forward! Don't worry if your testimony sounds crazy, because it is expected it to sound crazy. Corrupt Public Guardians / Conservators can be very skilled at creating confusion and chaos in the lives of the abused person(s) and damaging / destroying the credibility of anyone who tries to assist, help or intervene. They try to make it appear as if the victim, their family/advocates are crazy and may actually try to drive them crazy!  They are very skilled in flipping the script against anyone who tries to protect or help the victim, to make it appear as if the "advocates" are being abusive or causing stress upon the victim.
Scare tactics and Intimidation are also a common tactic used by conservators against their against victims and their families / advocates. They may 
threaten that if you tell anyone about the abuse or try to seek assistance then they will separate you from your loved ones and you will never see them again! They may threaten to issue a restraining order against the advocate & their families if they try to seek help or assistance!
